Do You Like Pretty Clothes + Purses? We Thought So.

We are LOADED with new purses, wraps and jewelry for summer, people! Take a peek...

Hats? Summer's best friend at the lake, pool, ocean...or just walking around outside. Nobody likes a sunburned face! And although it seems counterintuitive - covering your head completely when it's hot out actually keeps you cooler.

Wraps are summer's other best friend. They give you just the right amount of warmth in super air-conditioned spaces and add fun pops of color to basics like shorts and a t-shirt. They really dress up a plain, knit dress too.

Now in it's 4th year as the Dahlonega Arts + Wine Festival, we've got to hand it to the organizers! While they weren't responsible for the postcard perfect weather - they were responsible for organizing an event full of unique handade art, delicious wine tastings...and funky JAZZ MUSIC. We heard rave reviews from everyone in town over the weekend - so add a reminder to your May 2020 Calendar and come visit us next year! Read this Gainesville Times article for the full review if you need more convincing (wink wink).

Daholonega Gold Rush Days 2018. It's ON.

Funnel Cakes. Bluegrass music. Clogging. Hog Calling Contests. The sights, sounds and smells of Dahlonega Gold Rush flood your mind when thinking of our town's largest festival. This October 20 and 21, we'll see way larger crowds than back in the day...

Our customer (in the middle below) shared these family photos of hers from 1955...

What fun it would be if people still dressed up like they used to! If you're planning on coming to Gold Rush this year, be sure to stop by and say hi! We'll be opening early and staying late.

In December, All Was Merry and Bright at Cranberry Corners

Preview Image:

Wow.  Christmas in Dahlonega was a month ago...and that's just hard to believe.  When people say time flies the older you get - they weren't kidding!  Well, Dahlonega's most eclectic gift shop was rocking the entire month of December.  From the start of Old Fashioned Christmas until the clock struck 12 on January 1st, this holiday season was one for the record books.  Seemed like everyone was just in such a good mood - saying Merry Christmas every chance they could!  Kranberry wrapped gazillions of presents for shoppers, dressed up in her old fashioned Christmas outfit every weekend, and served refreshments to customers - spreading Christmas cheer to everyone who walked into Cranberry Corners.

To kick off the month, Kranberry hosted her annual Pajama Sale and live music event, where shoppers dressed in their pj's enjoyed a 25% off discount.  They also were treated to live, acoustic guitar holiday tunes from Dahlonega's Ray McCurdy.  Here are a few photos of the event!

Kranberry Kathy, all dressed...down!  Check out the smile on our Golden Retriever customer below:

Farmer Jim - you gotta beware of this guy.  He's likely to eat all the cookies and Bequet caramels he can!

If you've never visited Dahlonega at Christmas, you MUST add it to your bucket list.  It's truly magical here during that time of year.  On second thought, it's kinda magical here all year long :).
