WIN One of Our New Cloche Hats!

We're so excited about these new 1920's style cloche hats arriving in-store next week...that we're giving one away!  How do you win?

1. Read this blog post (check!)

2. Decide which of the 3 new styles and which color is your favorite.

3. Click here to view a post featuring the hats on facebook - leave a comment on the photo of your favorite hat style ; tell us which color you'd love to win.

That's it!  The winner doesn't have to be a Dahlonega resident - we'll ship anywhere within the US.  Winner will be announced on the day we receive the hats so enter asap!  We know they're coming sometime before April 15th, but they could arrive sooner...

When we spotted these cloches in Las Vegas at a merchandise mart, we had to have them.  If you're fans of Downton Abbey then you'll understand why...

We're in love with the clothing they wear on the show!  Our new hats remind us of something they'd sport to a...tea?  A garden party?  Accompanying the boys on a dove hunt?

Good Luck!

Hey Dahlonega - Ready for Spring Festivals Season?

This past weekend, our historic town square and the Yahoola Trails Conservancy hosted the 2015 Appalachian Trailfest - and yes!  The weather held out.  This annual event celebrates the beginning of spring, the designation of Dahlonega as an AT Trail community, and our connection with the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail...

The photo above shows what a wonderful day it was to kick off spring.  See the shadows?  They mean the sun's out!  In addition to arts and crafts, this year's event featured a silent auction, lots of live music and a food, beer and wine garden...

There is a fine art to decorating with antiques - especially if you want your space to retain a somewhat modern feel.  That's why we're tipping our hat to Cranberry Corners customer Sara L. for these photos she sent, showing how she'd decorated her new home with antiques purchased at our humble gift shop...

Cranberry Corners adorable customer alert!  These two lovely patrons visited our humble gift shop a few weeks ago and FLIPPED out when they saw we carried (our most popular) nostalgia edible - candy cigarettes.  They were planning on hording some for themselves and using a few for stocking stuffers!

Our retro candy cigarettes always get a huge reaction from baby boomers...and that puts a smile on our faces!  Click here to purchase a few packs for yourself.

Where has the summer gone?  It's already time for youngins' around Dahlonega to head back to school.  Before we know it, the holidays will be upon us - but until then...we're soaking up the last few days of summer.  The weather in the North Georgia Mountains has been amazing this season.  Hopefully the fall will be just as incredible!
